Here’s a really happy cake - just right for a small person’s birthday party. Covered in ballons, heart shapes and a few lovely ladybird bugs. The crowning glory is the flower fairy sittting on top with her silver wand - ready to make that special birthday wish come true!

This birthday cake was prepared for a teenager who loves to dance. The bright use of colours appealed to her, and the detail includes a figure dancing as well as many bright stripes and stars.![]()

This butterfly decorated cake was made using my special chocolate recipe. The butterflies on this cake were made using a different technique compared to the others you can see in this portfolio. ![]()

This super cake was made for a little girl’s Tinkerbell themed birthday party. The dress for Tinkerbell was specially designed to match the one on the doll that the girl’s mother provided for me to form the center of the cake. The doll was then a gift for the little girl - once the cake had been eaten (which apparently disappeared very quickly)! ![]()

This is a shipwreck cake with characters from the Little mermaid. The cake was a rich chocolate one.
This cake was for a sixteen year olds birthday who just loves pigs. The cake was covered in a rich chocolate buttercream.![]()
Two cakes on this page: All the butterflies are individually made and fixed on, necessitating the utmost care in transporting to the party venue. The butterflies can be carefully detached and eaten (all made of sugar) or saved as a memento.
And another butterfly cake - larger, shown here with candles:

This was for a big Peter Pan themed party. Along with Peter himself there is also a Tinkerbell cake to form a pair.
This first was a very simple cake, for the family celebration for a client who ordered another “Fishy” cake for the birthday party itself.

The other cake in this pair was more elaborate and bigger - for use at the party.

The friendly whale is a jolly fellow - ideal for an early birthday with that nice smile and water-spout! The client choose to have a coffee flavoured cake and filling.
This is another pirate themed cake - not quite so large as the Pirate Treasure Chest but we needed a cake for a family celebration of the same birthday! The map is painted in edible paint on a sugar paste “paper”. The chocolate coins and shells round the edge keep the treasure theme working.
The Pirate Treasure Chest was, in fact, made for my daughter, who was keen to have a Pirate Themed party for her seventh birthday. The cake inside was my special rich chocolate recipe and went down a treat, if somewhat messy in the hands of all those little pirates! The jewels were goood value, and formed part of the childrens’ party bags when they went home.
